First time at El Padrino's. Very good. Lovely atmosphere, lighting and clean floors. I got tamales without the sauce just as I asked. Yum. Spicey salsa, [not ketchup that la casa fiesta in monument serves]. This is our new go to for Mexican dinner. Prices are right and it's 5 minutes from home. Can't beat that. Can't wait until our next visit.
Thank you to the good folks at El Padrino Mexicano for the great food and service for our Ladies group meeting today (5/7/24). it is sometimes hard to please everyone in a larger group, but El Padrino's seemed to be loved by everyone. Food was great and service was excellent! Many ladies expressed that they would like to come back when we have more of our group members present...if you will have us!. VERY weak drinks, I could get more of a buzz from a single can of beer (coming from a lightweight). But that was the only downside, the food was fantastic (honestly the best in the springs). We were seated very fast and everything came out quick and fast. Very pretty and clean environment. Would highly recommend!
I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened. Honestly, we love this place. They are so consistent and put out great food time after time! I began going to Los Hitos many, many years ago when Marge and Lolo first opened. They then opened The Bean Bandit and we have been customers since the doors were opened and love it as well. If you're looking for a great place, I highly recommend both locations Keep up the great job!!
We are so excited that El Padrinos is reopened after many months of repairs hope we all enjoy our little home like restaurant in the North Gate area! Please support local family's like this one whenever possible.
We come here almost weekly and are never disappointed! Have ordered quesadillas, tacos (try the FRIED tacos - they are amazing!), enchiladas, and more. This week, we tried their flatiron steak and mango salmon and they were delish! Flatiron steak is a catch 22 - either tender and flavorful, or tough and not worth it, but they seasoned it perfectly and cooked it to mid rare perfectly as well. The mango salmon was also so tasty! Had never had calabacitas before and that was just as great! Grant and Justin are great with their customers and you can tell their staff loves working for them. p.s - do yourself a favor and have their homemade margarita with a grand marnier floater - perfect compliment to their food!
